First cousin of MEST lead singer Tony, Matt's
earliest musical memories are
receiving his first bass from his dad--who had gotten it at a carnival--and
immediately
joining Tony and Steve in Fallen Angels. "The comments in the box were right," he laughs. "We really sucked." Though he'd
rather forget those humble beginnings, he remembers being encouraged and influenced by the music of Sublime and Motley Crue,
and he fancied himself the next Nikki Sixx. He played just on his own for several years until Tony asked him to form the band
which became MEST. He likes hanging out with his friends, playing
basketball and drawing tattoos. A true video game obsessive,
he also drew the
cover art for the band's self released album and plans to create the graphics for
MEST's merchandising
efforts as well
